Minnesota Lynx at Chicago Sky Preview & Picks

Minnesota's form has dipped recently, with two losses in their last three games, including a defeat in Illinois two nights ago.

Chicago are once again being underestimated by the spread, and I am backing them to cover the +11.5 handicap.

  • Minnesota Timberwolves are 1-2 in their last 3 games
  • Chicago Sky beat Minnesota Timberwolves 87-81 last week
  • Chicago Sky have covered -11.5 vs Minnesota twice this month

Minnesota Lynx Form

Minnesota Lynx have been the top-performing team in the WNBA 2025 so far, leading the overall standings with an 18-4 record.

However, their recent form has taken a slight hit. They lost 79-71 to Phoenix Mercury in Arizona last week, then bounced back with a 91-82 win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

In their most recent outing, Minnesota fell 87-81 to Chicago Sky in Illinois, largely due to a poor first half where they trailed by 13 points.

Despite the loss, Napheesa Collier stood out with 26 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.

Chicago Sky Form

Chicago Sky have shown signs of improvement after a poor start to the season, currently sitting 5th in the Eastern Conference with a 7-13 record.

After back-to-back road losses to Minnesota Lynx (80-75) and Washington Mystics (81-79), they responded with an 87-76 home win over the Dallas Wings on July 9th.

Chicago looked impressive offensively in their recent clash with the Lynx, earning an 87-81 home victory.

Ariel Atkins delivered her best performance of the season, scoring 27 points while making 12 of 21 field goal attempts.
