The Redblacks handed Ryan Dinwiddie the reins in the offseason – naming him head coach and general manager in response to a poor 2025 campaign.
However, that decision has not sparked a turnaround in fortunes, because the club is now edging closer and closer to the embarrassment of a winless season.
Ottawa have come painfully close to recording a first victory on several occasions, only to come up just short.
That was the case last weekend as they suffered a 26-23 defeat to the Argonauts in Toronto.

Calgary enter this matchup on the back of a couple of losses to Edmonton that have left them 5-8.
The Stampeders still have a shot at making the playoffs despite the losing record, but they desperately need to start stringing together wins.
They have not managed back-to-back wins since the start of August, and they go into this game having lost four of the last five.
Calgary responded to a 33-30 loss in Toronto and a 30-26 defeat to the BC Lions with a 28-23 win at home to Hamilton.
The Stampeders failed to build on that though, as they were beaten in back-to-back games by Edmonton, losing 38-28 at home and 53-16 on the road.
