New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams Predictions & Picks

New York are tipped to cover as a betting underdog on Monday Night Football.

The Rams are clearly better than they showed in Week 1, but the defense had issues with Brock Purdy’s mobility and could experience similar problems against Jaxson Dart, resulting in this game being much closer than the bookies expect.

  • New York Giants are 1-0-0 ATS this season
  • Los Angeles Rams lost by 20 points in their season-opener
  • The Under cashed in Los Angeles’ opening game
  • New York Giants’ first game produced under 48.5 points

Head To Head

  • Los Angeles Rams lead the all-time series 30-17
  • Los Angeles Rams won 26-25 when the two teams last met in December 2023

New York Giants Form

New York make the long trip to California looking to build on last week’s surprise home win over Dallas.

The Giants were underdogs for the clash with the Cowboys, despite having home advantage, but defied those odds as they fended off the visitors in a 28-20 win.

Jaxson Dart produced a clean and efficient performance that saw him go 23/29 for 230 yards and three touchdowns, while he also showcased his dual threat with 54 yards rushing.

Dart was aided on the ground by Cam Skattebo, who rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown off 18 carries.

Isaiah Likely led the team in receiving as he made eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns, while Malik Nabers put up 69 yards off six receptions.

Los Angeles Rams Form

Los Angeles go into their first true home game of the season seeking an immediate response to the Week 1 win.

The Rams failed to live up the preseason hype as they suffered a 27-7 defeat at the hands of San Francisco in Melbourne, Australia.

In what was billed as a home game for the Rams, quarterback Matthew Stafford completed just 15 passes for 155 yards and an interception.

Star receiver Pula Nacua put up 74 yards off five receptions, while Davante Adams failed to make any impact as he caught three balls for 26 yards.

Blake Corum and Kyren Williams shared the load on the ground, combining for 95 yards, with the latter getting the Rams’ only touchdown of the game.

Verdict

Los Angeles underwhelmed massively in Week 1, and we do expect to see improvement here.

However, this is a lot of points and Dart has the ability to cause plenty of problems for this Garrett-less defense, so we are leaning towards the Giants and the free points.
