Los Angeles Chargers Form
Los Angeles enter this matchup in desperate need of a win, having started the season with six straight defeats.
The Chargers kicked off the season with a home game, but failed to make the most of that as they were beaten 26-14 by Arizona.
They then suffered another home defeat a week later, falling 26-14 to division rivals Las Vegas, before heading out on the road for two more defeats.
Los Angeles were beaten 24-16 in Buffalo, and suffered a 30-23 defeat when they visited defending Super Bowl champions Seattle.
The Chargers’ losing skid then reached six games with back-to-back division losses, as they fell 23-17 to Denver and 22-6 at Kansas City.
Los Angeles Rams Form
Los Angeles come into this game on the back of a victory, but having underwhelmed through their first seven games.
The Rams were big favourites to win it all coming into the season, but opened with a 27-7 defeat to San Francisco in Australia.
They rebounded to beat the New York Giants 30-26 a week later, only to suffer a 30-26 defeat when they visited Denver.
Los Angeles responded to beat the Eagles in Philadelphia, 24-20, but again failed to follow up a victory as they lost 37-34 to Buffalo, in overtime, and 18-16 to Arizona.
The Rams did avoid a third consecutive loss though, as they beat the Raiders in Las Vegas, 35-21.
Verdict
The Rams have underwhelmed through the first several weeks of the season, with injuries taking their toll.
Matthew Stafford has the offense rolling though, unlike Chargers counterpart Justin Herbert, so we are backing the Rams to get the job done here.
