Alabama then went out on the road for the first time this season and beat Wisconsin 42-10, setting up a huge clash with Georgia last weekend.
The Crimson Tide blew a massive lead against the Bulldogs, but a late touchdown was enough to lift them to a 41-34 victory.

Vanderbilt go into this game on the back of a couple of losses, but they have turned some heads during their 2-2 start.
The Commodores opened the season with a shock 34-27 victory when they played host to Virginia Tech.
They backed that up a week later when they shut out Alcorn State as they stormed to a 55-0 win, setting themselves up for back-to-back road games.
Vanderbilt were beaten in both of those matchups, but they ran their hosts close on both occasions, losing two one-score games.
The Commodores suffered a 36-32 defeat at Georgia State, before heading to Missouri where they lost 30-27 to the top-10 ranked Tigers.
Verdict
Vanderbilt have made a strong start to the season, but Alabama are on a whole different level.
