They then went out on the road to down Arizona State 42-28, before fending off a second-half fightback to win 48-41 in Colorado.
USC then made it six-in-a-row with a 43-41 win over Arizona, but the wheels came off as they lost 48-20 at #21 Notre Dame and 34-32 at home to #14 Utah.
The Trojans briefly steadied the ship with a 50-49 win at California, only to lose 52-42 when they visited #5 Washington last weekend.
