The Cavaliers avoided a fourth straight loss however, as they upset ranked Pitt on the road last weekend, 24-19.

Notre Dame come into this game riding a seven-game win streak that has taken their record to 8-1.
The Fighting Irish opened with a 20-13 win at Texas A&M, but were stunned a week later as they were upset by Northern Illinois in their home opener, 16-14.
They responded in style though, blowing out Purdue on the road, 66-7, and that proved to be the start of a seven-game tear that resurrected their season.
Notre Dame beat Miami OH 28-3, Louisville 31-24 and Sanford 49-7 at home, before heading to neutral venues to beat Georgia Tech 31-13 and Navy 51-14.
The Fighting Irish then returned home last weekend for a 52-3 demolition of Florida State.

Virginia have proven to be no pushover for ranked teams in recent weeks, but we still like Notre Dame to deliver here.
