Notre Dame rebounded with a 21-14 win at #17 Duke, only to suffer a surprise 33-20 defeat at #25 Louisville a week later.
The Fighting Irish steadied the ship with a 48-20 win over #10 USC and a 58-7 demolition of Pitt, but they failed to make it three-in-a-row as they were beaten 31-23 at Clemson last time out.
