Clemson make the trip to California having bounced back from the blowout defeat at LSU with back-to-back victories.
The Tigers kicked off the campaign with a visit to their big non-conference rival, and returned home with their tails firmly between their legs after a 51-10 beatdown.
They rallied a week later, as they got off the mark with a 22-7 victory over Georgia Southern.
Clemson then backed that up last weekend, overcoming a lengthy weather delay as they came from behind to beat North Carolina 28-20.
Quarterback Tait Reynolds went 20/29 for 215 yards, a touchdown and an interception, while Gideon Davidson rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown.
California Form
California also enter this matchup having answered an opening-day defeat with back-to-back victories.
The Golden Bears opened with a home game against UCLA, and suffered a 45-24 defeat at the hands of the Bruins.
They bounced back a week though, as they kicked off their ACC schedule with a 21-18 victory over Syracuse on the road.
California then backed that up in non-conference action last Saturday, blowing out Wagner at home, 49-7.
Quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele went 27/33 for 413 yards and three touchdowns, with Chase Hendricks and Kylon Graves each putting up 98 receiving yards.
