The Hoosiers have reloaded after losing some key talent to the NFL Draft, and they should be far too strong for a North Texas team that has just undergone a major offseason rebuild.

North Texas racked up 12 victories over the course of last season, but came up painfully short in the American Championship.
The Mean Green opened with five straight wins in non-conference action, only to drop their American opener as they fell 63-36 at South Florida.
They responded to that early setback in strong fashion though, reeling off six consecutive wins to book their place in the conference championship.
However, North Texas were unable to make it seven-in-a-row as they were beaten 34-21 by Tulane.
The Mean Green did sign off on a positive note though, as they downed San Diego State 49-47 in the New Mexico Bowl.
Indiana Form
Indiana enter the 2026 season as the defending college football champions following a flawless campaign in 2025.
The Hoosiers won all 12 of their regular season games last season, including a 30-20 victory at Oregon, as they stormed into the Big Ten Championship Game.
They won the conference crown with a 13-10 victory over Ohio State, and followed that up with a 38-3 demolition of Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
That set up a rematch with Big Ten rivals Oregon in the Peach Bowl, and Indiana again got the better of the Ducks with a 56-22 rout.
The victory secured a place in the National Championship Game, where the Hoosiers completed a perfect season with a 27-21 win over Miami FL.
