Texas hit double digit for wins last season, but ultimately it was a disappointing campaign as they missed out on the SEC Championship and the College Football Playoffs.
The Longhorns entered the season as the number one ranked team in the nation, but quickly lost that slot as they were beaten 14-7 by Ohio State in the opener.
They rebounded with three non-conference wins in a row, only to then drop their SEC opener in Florida, 29-21.
Texas rebounded with four straight wins, but their hopes of making the conference championship and the playoffs were ended when they lost 35-10 in Georgia.
The Longhorns did win their final two SEC games though, beating Arkansas 52-37 and Texas A&M 27-17, before closing out the year with a 41-27 win over Michigan in the Citrus Bowl.
