Bryce Young got the start last Sunday, having been benched and then reinstalled as starting quarterback during the 2024 campaign.
The Carolina QB had a rough day at the offense though as he threw for just 154 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions.
The Panthers struggled to get anything going on the ground too, and that resulted in a 26-10 defeat at the hands of Jacksonville.

Arizona enter their home opener looking to follow up last weekend’s road win in New Orleans.
The Cardinals suffered their third straight losing season in 2024, but having finished 4-13 in each of the previous two campaigns, their 8-9 record was an improvement.
That record would have been much better had their form not collapsed late in the season, as they lost five of their final seven games to miss out on the postseason.
Arizona did wrap up the campaign on a positive note though, beating San Francisco, and they picked up from where they left off last weekend.
The Cardinals kicked of the 2025 season with a 20-13 victory over the Saints in New Orleans.
