Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears Preview & Picks

Chicago are tipped to cover as they win this Thursday night matchup.

The Bears are a bad team, but they have improved recently and have beaten some bad teams.

Carolina fit that billing and they have been at their worst on the road, so take the hosts here.

  • Chicago Bears are 3-2-0 ATS in their last 5 games
  • Carolina Panthers are 1-6-1 ATS so far this season
  • Carolina Panthers are 0-4-0 ATS on the road
  • The Over has cashed in Carolina’s last 3 road games

Head To Head

  • Chicago Bears lead the all-time series 7-4
  • Chicago Bears won 23-16 when the two teams last met in October 2020

Carolina Panthers Form

Carolina head into this short week on the back of another defeat that dropped them to 1-7.

The Panthers opened the season with a 24-10 defeat in Atlanta, and then lost 20-17 to New Orleans in their home opener.

The losses kept stacking up as they then lost 37-27 in Seattle, before returning home for a 21-13 defeat at the hands of Minnesota.

Carolina’s winless start reached six games as they lost 42-24 in Detroit and 42-21 in Miami, but they finally got off the mark on October 29 when they downed Houston, 15-13, at home.

The Panthers’ joy was short-lived though, as they immediately returned to losing ways with a 27-13 defeat to Indianapolis last weekend.

Chicago Bears Form

Chicago return home looking to bounce back from a couple of defeats that have left them with a 2-7 record.

The Bears kicked off the season with a miserable 38-20 home defeat to Green Bay, and then went out on the road to lose 27-17 at Tampa Bay and 41-10 at Kansas City.

They then lost 31-28 at home to Denver to fall, before finally ending a year-long wait for a victory with a 40-20 victory at Washington.

Chicago failed to back that up as they then lost 19-13 to Minnesota, but they did avoid back-to-back defeats as they bounced back quickly to beat Las Vegas 30-12.

The Bears have not won since though, suffering a 30-13 defeat at the Los Angeles Chargers before melting down offensively in a 24-17 loss in New Orleans.
