Detroit head to Los Angeles on the back of a victory that improved their record to 6-2.
The Lions sent a message to the rest of the NFL on opening night as they upset defending champions Kansas City, 21-20, on the road.
They were quickly brought back down to Earth by a 37-31 overtime loss to Seattle in their home opener, but they responded well, sparking a four-game streak with a 20-6 win over Atlanta.
Detroit then won 34-20 in Green Bay, 42-24 at home to Carolina and 20-6 at Tampa Bay, before suffering a miserable 38-6 blowout defeat in Baltimore.
The Lions rebounded swiftly from that embarrassing loss though, downing Las Vegas 26-14 for their sixth win of the season.
Los Angeles Chargers Form
Los Angeles return home looking to register a third consecutive win after improving to 4-4 last time out.
The Chargers opened the season with back-to-back defeats, losing 36-34 at home to Miami and 27-24 in overtime at Tennessee.
They finally got off the mark with a 28-24 victory at Minnesota, and then followed that up with a 24-17 win over Las Vegas.
Los Angeles could not keep that run going though, losing 20-17 when they hosted Dallas and 31-17 when they visited Kansas City.
The Chargers stopped the rot with a 30-13 blowout of Chicago though, and then backed up that win with a 27-6 victory at the New York Jets last Monday night.
