Saquon Barkley has been the most dominant player in the NFL over the course of this season.
The former New York Giants running back has been sensational in his first season in Eagles colours, and is a massive reason why they are headed back to the big dance.
Barkley rushed for a staggering 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns in his 16 starts, and had he not been rested in the final week of the regular season there is every reason to believe he would have smashed the NFL’s single-season rushing record.
That extra week’s rest helped get him fresh for the playoffs though, and Philadelphia were able to strap the offense to his back as they reeled off three straight wins.
Barkley has rushed for a total of 442 yards and five touchdowns during this postseason run, but will he save his best for last and deliver another dazzling display in the NFL’s biggest game?
If Philadelphia do win there is a good chance that Barkley will have played a starring role, and with his stock at an all-time high we would expect MVP voters to go all in on a running back for the first time in over 25 years.
