Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs Preview & Picks

Kansas City are tipped to cover as they beat Miami for the second time this season.

The Chiefs have spluttered offensively, but the defense has stepped up with a string of strong displays.

They are now backed to contain a Dolphins team who are riddled with injuries and struggled against ‘winning’ teams.

  • Kansas City Chiefs were 9-2-0 ATS in their 11 regular season wins
  • Kansas City beat Miami by 7 points when the teams met on November 5
  • Miami Dolphins are 1-5-0 ATS in their 6 games against teams who finished above .500
  • The Under has cashed in 10 of Kansas City’s last 13 games

Head To Head

  • The all-time series is tied 16-16
  • Kansas City Chiefs won 21-14 when the two teams last met on November 5

Miami Dolphins Form

Miami enter the playoffs on the back of a couple of defeats that left them 11-6 and cost them the AFC East title.

The Dolphins raced out of the blocks with three consecutive wins and entered their bye week at 6-3.

When they returned to action they reeled off three straight victories to put them in the position to end Buffalo’s recent dominance of the division.

Miami’s run was halted by a 28-27 defeat to Tennessee, but they responded immediately with a 30-0 shutout win over the New York Jets, followed by a 22-20 victory over Dallas.

The Dolphins have not won since though, suffering an embarrassing 56-19 defeat in Baltimore before losing the winner-takes-all clash with Buffalo, 21-14.

Kansas City Chiefs Form

Kansas City enter the postseason having won three of their last four games to finish 11-6 and win the AFC West once again.

The Chiefs suffered a surprise home defeat to Detroit in their season opener, but responded with a run of six consecutive wins.

They have struggled for form since their bye week though, with a spluttering offense causing them to go 4-4 over their last eight games.

Kansas City did win three of their final four though, and that was enough to see them comfortably win the division and advance to the playoffs.

The Chiefs won 27-17 in New England, and then rebounded from a 20-14 loss to Las Vegas with a 25-17 win over Cincinnati and a 13-12 victory at the Los Angeles Chargers.
