Houston head to Utah on a four-game win streak that has improved their record to 6-1 on the season.
The Cougars kicked off the campaign with back-to-back non-conference wins at home, beating Oregon State 33-20 and Southern 77-6.
They failed to keep that run going in their Big 12 opener, losing 28-26 at Texas Tech, but their response to that narrow loss has been strong.
Houston rebounded to win 42-28 at Georgia Southern a week later, and then notched their first conference win of the season as they beat UCF 27-17.
The Cougars then followed that up with a 35-16 win in Kansas State, before downing Oklahoma State at home last weekend, 35-32.
Utah Form
Utah return home boasting a perfect record, having recorded their sixth consecutive win last weekend.
The Utes opened their season with three non-conference matchups, and won all three of them in comfortable fashion.
They blew out Idaho 66-14, and the followed up a 43-10 rout of Arkansas with a 33-0 shutout success against Utah State.
Utah then opened their Big 12 schedule with a 31-17 victory at Iowa State, before returning home to beat Kansas 41-24.
The Utes then made it 3-0 in the conference – and 6-0 overall – with a 27-24 victory in Colorado last weekend.
Verdict
Utah are in great form and are unsurprisingly favorites for this one, but we like Houston with the points.
The Cougars possess a solid run defense and an efficient offense that takes care of the football – that combination can help them end the game within a touchdown of the Utes.
