What MMA Betting Markets Can I Bet On?

The main boxing betting markets are Moneyline, fight outcome, round betting and total rounds.

Money Line – The money line is betting on which fighter will win the fight. It does not matter if they win by knockout, submission, decision or disqualification. As long as you select the winning fighter your bet is a winner.

Fight Outcome – This market requires you to select a method of victory for the winning fighter, so not only do you have to successfully pick the winner, you will also have to correctly predict how they will win. There are three options per fighter – KO, TKO or Disqualification, Submission, and Decision or Technical Decision.

Round Betting – This market requires you to select a single round or a group of rounds in which the fight will end. The Round Betting market can be entered in one of two ways. You can select a fighter to win in a specific round or you can back either fighter to win in a specific round.

Total Rounds – This market allows bettors to bet on the total amount of rounds there will be in the fight. The sportsbook will set a line, let’s say 2.5 rounds, and you can bet on the total rounds in the fight going over or under that total. The winner of the fight does not need to be selected in this market.

Which UFC Fights Can I Bet On?

The UFC remains the premier organization in MMA and sportsbooks cover every card hosted by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, from numbered PPV events like UFC 262 to UFC Fight Night cards hosted on network television. And not only do sportsbooks cover every card, they offer markets for every single fight on those cards, with the range of markets depending on the positioning of that fight on the card.

What Other MMA Events Can I Bet On?

Gone are the days where you could only bet on UFC events. Sportsbooks are now offering betting markets for two of the other leading MMA promotions in the United States – Bellator MMA and the PFL (Professional Fighters League). Sportsbooks are also now covering the premier MMA promotion in Asia – ONE Fighting Championship.

Are There Any MMA Betting Promotions?

Of course there are MMA betting promotions. MMA is one of the most popular sports for betting on around the world and MMA betting promotions will be made available from licensed bookmakers throughout the year, depending on the size and stature of the fight.

These vary in type, with some offering customers the opportunity to insure their bets and others offering the chanced to claim enhanced winnings and bonuses.
