Kentucky go into March Madness looking to rebound from a blowout defeat in the conference tournament.
The Wildcats stumbled multiple times during the final few games of the regular season, going 4-3 in their last seven games.
They wrapped up that part of the campaign on a positive note though, beating Louisiana State 95-64 at home and Missouri 91-83 on the road.
Kentucky then made it three-in-a-row with an 85-84 victory over Oklahoma in the second round of the SEC tournament.
However, the Wildcats’ quest for conference glory was ended in the quarter-finals, as they suffered a 99-70 defeat at the hands of Alabama.
Troy Form
Troy enter the national tournament on a strong run of form, having won each of their previous six games.
The Trojan’s last defeat came on February 20 when they were beaten 72-69 at home by Louisiana.
They bounced back a few days later with an 83-66 win over Coastal Carolina, and then wrapped up the regular season with road wins at Texas State, 74-69, and Southern Mississippi, 70-58.
Troy’s good run continued in the Sun Belt tournament as they advanced to the final by beating Old Dominion 75-59 and James Madison 79-60.
The Trojans were then crowned conference champions as they beat Arkansas State 94-81 in the final.
