The Buffaloes went into their conference schedule with a 2-1 record and picked up victories in their first two Big 12 outings, beating Baylor 38-31 and UCF 48-21.
They then rebounded from a 31-28 loss to Kansas State with a four-game win streak that propelled them into the top 25.
Colorado won 34-7 at Arizona, downed Cincinnati 34-23 at home, won 41-27 at Texas tech and then saw off Utah, 49-24 at home.
The Buffaloes were unable to make it five wins in a row however, as they lost 37-21 at Kansas last time out.
