Buffalo once again came up short in the playoffs last time around, costing Sean McDermott his job as head coach.
Once again the Bills went into a campaign as a leading contender to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy, and they made a strong start as they won six of their first eight games.
They then wobbled in November, losing a couple of road games, but rebounded with a 5-1 run to close out the regular season with a 12-5 record.
Buffalo then fended off Jacksonville in the Wild Card round, 27-24, only to bow out in the Divisional round as they lost 33-30 in overtime in Denver.
The Bills warmed up for the new season by going 3-0 in pre-season, sandwiching a 31-7 victory in Cleveland with home wins over Carolina, 29-14, and Pittsburgh, 28-27.
