Ottawa go into their 10th game of the regular season still seeking their first victory over of the campaign.
The Redblacks entered the season with high hopes of showing some improvement under new head coach Ryan Dinwiddie.
They opened with back-to-back home defeats, losing 20-21 to Edmonton and 44-24 to Toronto, before heading to Montreal for a 37-35 loss to the Alouettes.
Ottawa’s skid continued as they fell 27-22 to Saskatchewan, 40-17 at Edmonton and 36-34 in overtime to Winnipeg to enter the bye week at 0-6.
And since returning to action they have followed up a 34-13 home loss to Montreal with road defeats to Saskatchewan, 42-20, and Winnipeg, 33-21.
Montreal Alouettes Form
Montreal return from the bye week riding a six-game win streak that has propelled them to a league-best 8-1 record.
The Alouettes came up short in the Grey Cup last season, but they have shown no signs of a hangover through the first 11 weeks, winning eight of their first nine games.
They kicked things off with a 30-27 overtime win at Hamilton, and backed that up with a 37-30 victory against Toronton in the home opener.
Montreal’s perfect start was ended by a 32-29 overtime defeat in Edmonton, but they rebounded immediately with a 37-35 win over Ottawa, and that proved to be the start of this six game surge.
The Alouettes have since beat Calgary 37-30 at home and 38-32 on the road, Hamilton 31-18 at home, Ottawa 34-13 on the road, and Edmonton 48-30 at home.
