Saskatchewan Roughriders at BC Lions Predictions & Picks

BC Lions are tipped to cover the spread as they knock off the defending champions.

The Lions are taking some momentum into this matchup, while Saskatchewan are dealing with injuries and have very rarely covered on the road this season.

  • BC Lions are on a 3-game win streak
  • Saskatchewan Roughriders are 2-5-0 ATS in their last 7 games
  • Saskatchewan Roughriders are 0-3-0 ATS in their previous 3 defeats
  • The previous this meeting produced under 61.5 total points

Head To Head

  • Saskatchewan Roughriders lead all-time series 88-81-0
  • Saskatchewan Roughriders won 31-27 when the two teams last met on June 13

Saskatchewan Roughriders Form

Saskatchewan head out on the road for the second weekend in a row, looking to rebound from a defeat that dropped them to 6-3.

The defending champion Roughriders enjoyed a decent start to the season as they followed up a 31-27 win over the BC Lions with a 40-37 overtime success in Calgary.

They then bounced back from a 40-34 defeat to Toronto with wins against Ottawa, 27-22, and Hamilton, 38-7.

Saskatchewan failed to make it three-in-a-row again as they lost 36-34 to Edmonton, but they again responded immediately to a defeat by beating Edmonton 28-26 on the road and Ottawa 42-20 at home.

Three-game win streaks continue to elude the Roughriders though, as they fell 26-19 in Hamilton last time out.

BC Lions Form

BC enter this matchup on their best run of the season so far, having reeled off three consecutive victories to improve to 4-5.

The Lions limped out of the blocks as they lost their first three games of the season, losing 31-27 in Saskatchewan and 41-27 at Hamilton before dropping the home opener to Calgary, 41-33.

They finally got off the mark at the start of July as they beat Edmonton 36-24, but their joy was short-lived as they lost the next two, falling 19-17 to the Elks and 26-12 to Toronto.

BC avoided a third straight loss as they downed Winnipeg 35-19 on the road, and that proved to be the start of this season-best run.

The Lions have since followed up a 27-24 victory over Hamilton with a 30-26 success in Calgary.
