Edmonton Elks at Calgary Stampeders Predictions & Picks

Edmonton are tipped to cover a small spread as they make it three wins in a row.

The Elks return from the bye week refreshed and in good form, and they are facing a Stampeders team that has struggled at home and could be without Vernon Adams Jr.

  • Edmonton Elks are 8-3 this season
  • Calgary Stampeders are 3-4 in their previous 7 games
  • Calgary Stampeders are 2-4 at home this season
  • The Under has cashed in each of the previous 4 meetings

Head To Head

  • Edmonton Elks lead the all-time series 97-84-2
  • Calgary Stampeders won 20-10 when the two teams last met in October 2025

Edmonton Elks Form

Edmonton return from the bye week having won their last couple of games to improve their record to 8-3.

The Elks made a flying start to the season with three straight wins, before finally seeing their perfect start end with a 36-24 defeat to the BC Lions.

They rebounded immediately though, beating Ottawa 40-17 at home, and they backed that up with a 19-17 victory over the Lions and a 36-34 success at Saskatchewan.

Edmonton failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 28-26 to the Roughriders, and that was followed by a 48-30 loss in Montreal.

The Elks have got back on track in recent weeks however, beating Toronto 42-12 and Winnipeg 22-19 at home.

Calgary Stampeders Form

Calgary come into this matchup on the back of a victory, but it was only their fifth victory in 11 games this season.

The Stampeders opened with back-to-back defeats, only to rebound with a couple of wins as they downed the BC Lions 41-33 and Toronto 58-36.

They failed to keep that run going as they lost back-to-back meetings with Montreal, losing 37-30 on the road and 38-32 at home, but they did bounce back quickly to win 52-30 at Winnipeg and 44-20 in Hamilton.

Calgary’s run was ended by a 33-30 loss in Toronto, and they then went into the bye week on the back of a 30-26 defeat to the BC Lions.

The Stampeders did make a winning return to action though, beating Hamilton 28-23 a week ago.

Verdict

Our Verdict
Hamilton overcame the absence of Mitchell a week ago, but they now face one of the best teams in the league.

Edmonton are back on track after a rough start to August, and they can cover the spread as they make it three wins in a row.
