Louisville vs Ole Miss Predictions & Picks

Louisville are tipped to cover as a betting underdog when they visit Ole Miss.

The Rebels bring back key offensive weapons in Chambliss and Lacy, but the Cardinals have playmakers too and head coach Jeff Brohm always has his team ready to play.

  • Louisville are 4-2-0 ATS as a betting underdog under Jeff Brohm
  • Ole Miss are 3-3-0 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games
  • The Under has cashed in 6 of Louisville’s last 8 regular season games
  • The Under has hit in 6 of Ole Miss’ last 9 regular season games

Head To Head

  • Ole Miss lead the all-time series 1-0
  • Ole Miss won 43-24 when the two teams last met in September 2021

Louisville Form

Louisville go into the season-opener looking to rebound from a disappointing ACC campaign in 2025 that saw them split their eight games.

The Cardinals opened the season with three non-conference wins, and then kicked off their ACC slate with a 34-27 win at Pitt.

Their run was ended by a 30-27 loss to Virginia, but they responded strongly and beat Miami FL 24-21, Boston College 38-24 and Virginia Tech 28-16 to propel themselves into the conference championship mix.

Louisville’s form nose-dived after that though, as they lost 29-26 to California, 20-19 to Clemson and 38-6 to SMU to miss out on the ACC showpiece.

The Cardinals did at least rally to end the season on a positive note however, following up a 41-0 blowout of Kentucky with a 27-22 win over Toledo in the Boca Raton Bowl.

Ole Miss Form

Ole Miss come into the new season looking to rebound from a rough end to the 2025 campaign that saw them lose their head coach and fall in the semi-finals of the College Football Playoffs.

The Rebels roared out of the blocks with a six-game win streak that included SEC wins over Kentucky, 30-23, Arkansas, 41-35, and LSU, 24-19.

That run was ended by a 43-35 loss at Georgia in October, and that proved to be the game that denied them an appearance in the SEC Championship Game.

Ole Miss rallied to win their final five regular season games though, and successfully negotiated the first two rounds of the playoffs as they beat Tulane 41-10 and Georgia 39-34.

However, the Rebels’ quest for national glory came to an end in the Fiesta Bowl, as they were beaten 31-27 by Miami FL.

Verdict

Our Verdict
Ole Miss are expected to make a winning start, but we like Louisville’s chances of covering.

The Cardinals have their own weapons on offense, and since Jeff Brohm took over they have developed a healthy knack for covering in the underdog role.
