Ottawa Redblacks at Toronto Argonauts Predictions & Picks

Toronto are tipped to cover a double digit spread against winless Ottawa.

The Argonauts have covered every time they have won this season, while the Redblacks have not covered in weeks and lost by 20 points when they hosted the Argos in June.

  • Toronto Argonauts are 6-0-0 ATS in their wins this season
  • Toronto Argonauts won by 20 points in Ottawa in June
  • Winless Ottawa Redblacks are 3-8-0 ATS this season
  • The Over has cashed in 9 of the previous 10 meetings

Head To Head

  • Toronto Argonauts lead the all-time series 22-7
  • Toronto Argonauts won 44-24 when the two teams last met on June 20

Ottawa Redblacks Form

Ottawa head to Toronto still seeking their first win of the season, having lost all 11 games so far.

The Redblacks named Ryan Dinwiddie as their new head coach following a disappointing 2025 campaign, but the former Toronto coach has been unable to turn the club around.

They did come close to winning on a couple of occasions, suffering a handful of narrow defeats in June and July, but since their second bye week they have been on the receiving end of blowout defeat after blowout defeat.

Ottawa were beaten 34-13 at home by Montreal, before heading out on the road to lose 42-20 in Saskatchewan, 33-21 at Winnipeg and 46-16 in Montreal.

The Redblacks then returned home before their final bye week of the season, and fell to a 45-25 defeat to the BC Lions.

Toronto Argonauts Form

Toronto enter this matchup in inconsistent form, but their victory last time out did improve their record to 6-6.

The Argonauts dropped four of their first six games of the season as they were displaced by the World Cup, but they have kick-started their playoff quest since late July.

They snapped a three-game skid with a 26-12 win at the BC Lions, and followed that up with a 33-30 victory over Calgary.

Toronto failed to follow that up as they lost 42-12 in Edmonton, only to rebound with a 39-20 win against Hamilton.

The Argonauts were unable to make it back-to-back wins as they lost 28-24 at Saskatchewan, but they did issue an immediate response in the form of a 37-22 success in Hamilton.

Verdict

Our Verdict
Toronto have hardly been the model of consistency, but they have been winning games and they have tended to cover in their victories.

The Argonauts have also had Ottawa’s number in recent seasons, winning and covering in eight of the last 10 meetings, so we expect the hosts to win the game and cover the spread.
