Ole Miss at Vanderbilt Predictions & Picks

Ole Miss are tipped to cover as they win on the road in Nashville.

Vanderbilt’s offense has struggled to put points on the board in SEC play this season, so Trinidad Chambliss and this Rebels offense can set a scoring pace that the Commodores simply cannot match.
  • Ole Miss are 3-1 this season
  • Vanderbilt are averaging just 14.5 points per game in conference matchups
  • Ole Miss are 4-1-0 ATS in the previous 5 meetings
  • Each of Vanderbilt’s previous SEC games went under 54.5 total points

Head To Head

  • Ole Miss lead the all-time series 55-40-2
  • Ole Miss won 33-7 when the two teams last met in October 2023

Ole Miss Form

Ole Miss head back out on the road looking to rebound from their first defeat of the season, which dropped them to 4-1.

The Rebels opened the season with a three-game win streak, beginning with a hard-fought 41-38 victory over Louisville.

They made lighter work of their next outing, beating Charlotte 41-9, and that sent them into their conference schedule with a perfect record.

Ole Miss kicked off their SEC slate in ideal fashion as they ruined Lane Kiffin’s return, beating their former head coach and his current LSU team 32-24.

The Rebels failed to follow that up though, as they were blown out in Florida a fortnight ago, losing 52-28.

Vanderbilt Form

Vanderbilt enter this matchup still seeking a first SEC victory, having suffered back-to-back defeats to fall to 3-2 on the season.

The Commodores opened with three straight non-conference wins, but underwhelmed in a 28-9 victory over Austin Peay and a 35-26 win against Delaware.

They then needed a miraculous finish to the game against NC State to record an improbable 35-31 win.

Vanderbilt have not won since though, beginning their conference schedule with consecutive defeats on the road.

The Commodores were beaten 21-15 at Auburn, before heading to Georgia for a 38-14 loss to the Bulldogs.

Verdict

Ole Miss’ defense was lit up by Florida last time out, but now they get the benefit of facing a Vanderbilt unit that has struggled to get going since Diego Pavia’s departure.

The Rebels can pull away on the scoreboard to win the game and cover the spread.
