The Tigers kicked off the season with home wins against South Dakota, 35-10, and Middle Tennessee State, 23-19.
They then shocked #15 Kansas State, before climbing into the top 25 with a 34-27 win against Memphis and a 38-21 victory at Vanderbilt.
Missouri’s perfect start was halted by a 49-39 defeat to #23 LSU, but they have rebounded from that setback with a couple of wins.
The Tigers knocked off #24 Kentucky on the road, 38-21, before returning home to take down South Carolina, 34-12.
Georgia Form
Georgia boast a perfect 8-0 record heading into this game, but they had to settle for #2 in the first CFP rankings.
The Bulldogs opened the season with a couple of blowout wins at home, beating UT-Martin 48-7 and Ball State 45-3.
They made hard work off a 24-14 win against South Carolina, and after crushing UAB 49-21 they had to fight for a 27-20 win at Auburn.
Georgia rolled over #20 Kentucky at home a week later, winning 51-13, and they then beat Vanderbilt on the road, 37-20.
And after a weekend off, the Bulldogs took their streak to eight wins with a 43-20 success against Florida.
