The Boilermakers opened with a 39-35 defeat at home to Fresno State, although they rebounded quickly with a 24-17 victory at Virginia Tech.
They then lost back-to-back home games – 35-20 to Syracuse and 38-17 to Wisconsin – before blowing out Illinois, 44-19 for their second win.
Purdue have not won since though, starting a three-game losing skid with a 20-14 defeat at Iowa.
The Boilermakers then suffered a heavy 41-7 loss to #3 Ohio State, before heading to Nebraska for a 31-14 defeat.
