Ohio State remain on course for the College Football playoffs following their eight consecutive win.
The Buckeyes opened with a 23-3 win at conference rivals Indiana, and backed that up at home with a 35-7 victory over Youngstown State and a 63-10 blowout of Western Kentucky.
They then staged a dramatic late fightback to snatch a 17-14 victory when they visited #9 Notre Dame in late September.
Ohio State’s streak continued as they beat Maryland 37-17 at home and Purdue 41-7 9 on the road, setting them up for a showdown with #7 Penn State.
The Buckeyes won that home game, 20-12, before improving to 8-0 with a 24-10 victory at Wisconsin last weekend.
Rutgers Form
Rutgers enter this matchup on the back of a couple of victories that have improved their record to 6-2.
The Scarlet Knights opened the season with three consecutive home wins, beating Northwestern 24-7, Temple 36-7 and Virginia Tech 35-16.
Their perfect start was then halted by a 31-7 defeat at Michigan, but they rebounded quickly with a 52-3 demolition of Wagner.
Rutgers then lost 24-13 at Wisconsin, only to again issue a swift response to a loss.
The Scarlet Knights rebounded with a 27-24 win at home to Michigan State, and they then travelled to Indiana to record a 31-14 victory.
