Buffalo Bills at New York Jets Preview & Picks – Bills To Wreck Rodgers’ Jets Debut In NFL Week 1

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets Preview & Picks

Buffalo are tipped to ruin Aaron Rodgers’ Jets debut.

The Bills have dominated the AFC East in recent years and have more continuity heading into this.

Rodgers and the Jets will need a few weeks to gel, so a road win is the most likely outcome here.

  • Buffalo were 17-3 in their last 20 games vs AFC East teams
  • Buffalo Bills are 5-1 in the last 6 games vs New York Jets
  • New York Jets are 5-25 in their last 30 games vs AFC East teams
  • The Under cashed in 7 of Buffalo’s 8 road games last season

Head To Head

  • Buffalo Bills lead the all-time series 68-57
  • Buffalo Bills won 20-12 when the teams last met in December 2022

Buffalo Bills Form

Buffalo saw another Super Bowl quest end in failure last season, as they bowed out in the Divisional Round.

The Bills made an early statement as they downed the defending champion Los Angeles Rams, 31-10, on the road on opening night.

They slipped up a couple of times after that, but went on a red-hot run over the final several weeks to march into the playoffs.

Buffalo entered the postseason on a seven-game win streak that saw them win four times against division rivals.

The Bills then beat Miami 34-31 in the Wildcard Round of the playoffs, only to suffer a surprise 27-10 home defeat to Cincinnati in the Divisional Round.

New York Jets Form

New York finished bottom of the AFC East last season with a 7-10 record, but hopes are high for 2023.

The Jets made a promising start to 2022 as they won six of their first nine games to put themselves in the playoff race.

That run included a big road win at Green Bay and a surprise home victory against Super Bowl contenders Buffalo.

The wheels came off in December though, as New York lost seven of their final eight games to see their playoff hopes go up in smoke.

Quarterback play was a major reason for their collapse, and the Jets have moved to solve that problem with the blockbuster trade to land Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers.
