Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders Predictions & Picks

Las Vegas are tipped to cover as they beat Miami on opening night.

Ashton Jeanty can enjoy plenty of success against a Dolphins defense that struggled against the run last season, while Kirk Cousins gets a helping hand from Brock Bowers in the passing game.

  • Miami Dolphins were 2-6 on the road last season
  • Miami Dolphins were 3-5-0 ATS in road games last season
  • The Over cashed in 5 of Miami’s 8 road games last season

Head To Head

  • The all-time series is tied at 21-21-1
  • Miami Dolphins won 34-19 when the two teams last met in November 2024

Miami Dolphins Form

Miami come into the new season looking to get back into the playoff picture after a losing season in 2025.

The Dolphins’ postseason quest never truly got started as they opened with three straight defeats and lost seven of their first nine games.

They rallied in November and embarked on a four-game win streak, but they won just one of their final four games to finish 7-10 and miss out on the playoffs.

Miami’s playoff absence cost Mike McDaniel his job as head coach, and he has been replaced by former Green Bay defensive co-ordinator Jeff Hafley.

The Dolphins go into this matchup having lost all three of their pre-season games, losing 20-7 at Washington, 26-3 to the New York Giants, and 17-12 to Atlanta.

Las Vegas Raiders Form

Las Vegas enter this season looking to improve considerably on a 2025 campaign that saw them win just three games.

The Raiders had appointed former Super Bowl-winning head coach Pete Carroll in the offseason, and hopes were high that he could get the franchise heading in the right direction after a 4-13 campaign the year before.

They made a winning start with a 20-13 victory at New England, but won just two more games during the remainder of the season to finish rock bottom in the AFC West.

Las Vegas’ poor campaign meant Carroll was one-and-done in ‘Sin City’, with Klint Kubiat being named his successor.

The Raiders went 1-2 in the 2026 pre-season, sandwiching a 22-20 victory in Houston with home defeats to Arizona, 27-14, and San Francisco, 18-12.

Verdict

Our Verdict
Both teams have new men in charge for this one, and we are backing Klint Kubiak to enjoy a successful debut.

Miami lack weapons on offense, outside of Archane, while the Raiders can lean on Ashton Jeanty and Brock Bowers to get over the line.
