Hamilton Tiger-Cats Form
Hamilton go into this matchup as one of the hottest teams in the CFL, having rebounded from a bad start with a five-game win streak.
The Tiger-Cats opened with a 38-26 defeat in Calgary, and then fell to 0-2 as they were beaten 28-23 at home by Saskatchewan.
They have been red-hot since returning from the bye week though, sparking a five-game tear with a 35-17 win over Montreal.
Hamilton then recorded a 51-38 victory in Toronto, before taking back-to-back meetings with Ottawa, winning 23-20 at home and 30-15 on the road.
The Tiger-Cats kept that streak going last weekend as they went back out on the road to beat the BC Lions 37-33.
Edmonton Elks Form
Edmonton enter this game in serious need of a win, having lost five of the first six games on their schedule.
The Elks kicked things off with a 31-14 defeat at the BC Lions, before returning from an early bye with a 38-28 defeat to Montreal.
Their losing run reached three games with a 36-33 defeat in Winnipeg, before they finally broke their duck with a 39-33 victory over Ottawa.
Edmonton failed to back that up though, going into their second bye week of the season on the back of a 32-14 loss to BC.
That became back-to-back defeats last time out, as they returned to action with a 21-18 defeat in Saskatchewan.
Verdict
Hamilton struggled early, but they have roared into life over the past several weeks.
The Tiger-Cats are the hotter hands, so we are backing the visitors to add to the Elks’ problems here.
