The Roughriders made a fast start to the season, as they reeled off four consecutive wins starting with a 31-26 victory over Ottawa.
The backed that up with road wins over Hamilton, 28-23, and Toronto, 39-32, before returning home to beat the BC Lions 37-18 before the bye.
Saskatchewan made a losing return to action as they were beaten 24-10 at home by Calgary, but they have rebounded quickly from that loss.
The Roughriders downed the BC Lions 33-27 on the road, and then made it back-to-back victories with a 21-18 home win over Edmonton.
Montreal Alouettes Form
Montreal enter this matchup looking to build on the back-to-back wins that have improved their record to 5-2.
The Alouettes kicked of the season with a 28-10 win at home to defending champions Toronto.
They backed that up on the road as they beat Ottawa 39-18 and Edmonton 38-28, only to see their perfect start end with a 35-17 defeat in Hamilton.
That became back-to-back losses as Montreal were beaten 21-20 at home by the BC Lions before the bye, but they have rebounded since returning to action.
The Alouettes returned to action with a 26-25 win over Toronto, and followed that up with a 23-21 success in Calgary last time out.
Verdict
Montreal have owned Saskatchewan in recent seasons, but we expect that to change here.
