Toronto head to Winnipeg looking to repeat last week’s win over the Blue Bombers, which was only their second victory of the season so far.

The defending champion Argonauts made a rough start to the campaign as they opened with three consecutive defeats, losing 28-10 at Montreal, 29-19 to Calgary and 39-32 to Saskatchewan.

They finally got their first win on the board with a 29-16 victory in Ottawa, but failed to back that up as they lost the next two.

Toronto were beaten 51-38 at home by Hamilton, before heading to Montreal for a 28-25 defeat to the Alouettes.

The Argonauts did avoid three consecutive losses however, as they beat Winnipeg 31-17 at home.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers Form

Winnipeg return home in need of a morale-boosting win, having lost three straight games to fall to 3-3.

The Blue Bombers had a bye in Week 1, but when they finally kicked off their campaign they raced out of the blocks.

They won back-to-back meetings with the BC Lions, winning 34-20 at home and 27-14 on the road, before downing Edmonton 36-23.

Winnipeg have not won since though, starting this slide with a 37-16 loss in Calgary prior to their second bye week.

The Blue Bombers then returned to action with a 41-20 defeat to Calgary, before heading to Toronto for a 31-17 defeat to the Argonauts.

Verdict

Toronto’s title defence is not going well, but they have been a solid spread bet recently.
