LIV Golf Miami Preview & Picks - Best Golf Bets For Trump National Doral

The LIV Golf Tour and a host of the world's best players return to Miami this week, but who will lift the trophy at Trump National?
Dean Burmester is back to defend his title after a playoff victory over Sergio Garcia in 2024.
Twelve golfers from the LIV Golf League will feature at the Masters next week, including Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrell Hatton, Joaquin Niemann, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Charl Schwartzel, and Phil Mickelson.
These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Tyrrell Hatton
Tyrrell Hatton had the perfect start to his season with victory at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour.
Hatton has been in decent nick since his latest triumph, placing T6 in Riyadh, T23 in Adelaide, T20 in Hong Kong, and T19 in Singapore on the LIV Golf Tour.
The 33-year-old Englishman placed T4 at last year's LIV Golf Invitational Series in Miami.
Hatton performed well at this tournament in 2024 and will aim to win the title this weekend.
Brooks Koepka
Brooks Koepka has had some success in the 2025 LIV Golf League thus far, placing T33 in Riyadh, T7 in Adelaide, T35 in Hong Kong, and 2nd in Singapore.
Before that, Koepka was in excellent touch, winning in Greenbrier and finishing T6 in Chicago and T10 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship (DP World Tour).
The five-time Major winner finished T45 overall at last year's LIV Golf Invitational Series in Miami.
Koepka will fancy his chances of winning the title at Trump National after his recent performances.
Cameron Smith
Cameron Smith was in top form on the DP World Tour and Asian Tour towards the end of last year, placing 2nd at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, T2 at the PIF Saudi International, and T39 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open.
Smith has been in fair form on the LIV Golf Tour since those results, finishing T25 in Riyadh, 60th in Adelaide, T20 in Hong Kong, and T19 in Singapore.
The former Open Champion withdrew from last year's LIV Golf Invitational Series in Miami.
Smith has not been at his best lately but has the game to challenge for the title in Miami this weekend.
Lucas Herbert
Lucas Herbert contested two events on the DP World Tour at the start of his season, finishing T43 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship and T5 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open.
After those results, Herbert has continued to play well, placing T4 in Riyadh, T31 in Adelaide, T21 at the New Zealand Open, 4th in Hong Kong, T14 in Singapore, and T8 at the International Series in Macau.
The Australian golfer finished T51 at the 2024 LIV Golf International Series in Miami.
Herbert offers excellent value in Miami, having secured three top-five finishes in his last seven tournaments.
Format
An invitational field of 54 golfers will feature at the tournament, with a total purse of $25 million up for grabs. $4 million will go to the winner, while the player coming in last will pocket $50,000.
The players will contest 54 holes instead of 72 for all the LIV Golf Invitational Series events.
A shotgun start will occur, where the players will tee off simultaneously from different holes.
A 13-four-man team (four players each and two wild-card players) format will run concurrent, with the top three teams earning prize money.
Verdict
Hatton is overdue for another top result on the LIV Golf Tour and should enter calculations in Miami.
Koepka has been in solid form lately and can pocket the winner's cheque in Florida come Sunday.
Smith has been thereabouts lately and can challenge for the title this weekend.
Herbert has been in excellent touch lately and could cause an upset victory at Trump National this weekend.
