Erin Blanchfield is the number four ranked women’s flyweight contender with a career record of 13-2 (2 KOs, 4 Subs).
Blanchfield debuted in the UFC in September 2021 and quickly climbed the ladder with six consecutive victories.
She beat Sarah Alpar and Miranda Maverick on points, before reeling off a string of submission wins, starting with the second-round stoppage of JJ Aldrich.
The 26-year-old New Yorker then tapped out Molly McCann in the first round, before submitting former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade in the second.
Blanchfield’s streak of submission wins came to an end in her next outing, but she did have her hand raised as she beat Talia Santos via decision.
‘Cold Blooded’ was finally beaten in the Octagon in her next fight, losing in points to Manon Fiorot last March, but her response was strong.
She took on former two-time strawweight champion Rose Namajunas and was able to beat ‘Thug Rose’ via decision.
Maycee Barber Form
Maycee Barber is the number five ranked women’s flyweight contender with a professional record of 14-2 (6 KOs, 2 Subs).
Barber first arrived in the UFC in 2018 after successful appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series, and she marked her debut with a second-round TKO win over Hannah Cifers.
She made the move to flyweight after that contest and quickly made a splash in the decision by knocking out JJ Aldrich in the second and Gillian Robertson in the first.
The 27-year-old American’s rise stalled in 2020 however, as she lost on points to Roxanne Modafferi, and that was followed by a points loss to Alexa Grasso the following year.
Barber got back in track in the summer of 2021, edging split decision win over Miranda Maverick, and that proved to be the start of six-fight run.
‘The Future’ backed up that victory with a couple of points wins in 2022 as she beat Montana De La Rosa and Jessica Eye, and she then began 2023 with a split decision success against Andrea Lee.
Later that year she scored a second-round knockout win over Amanda Ribas, and in her sole outing of 2024 she made it six-in-a-row with a decision win over Katlyn Cerminara.
Verdict
Erin Blanchfield is coming off the biggest win of her career and we expect her to back that up.
