Los Angeles enter this matchup having ended a three-game losing run with last night’s victory at home to New Orleans.
The Clippers experienced a mixed February as they struggled to develop any real consistency, going 3-3 in their first six games of the month.
They did string together wins either side of the All-Star break, as they beat Houston 105-102 on the road and Denver 115-114 at home, but they failed to maintain that momentum.
LA ended the month with a 125-122 road defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers, and home losses to Orlando, 111-109, and Minnesota, 94-88.
The Clippers began March in much more promising fashion though, as they downed New Orleans at home, 137-117.
Golden State Warriors Form
Golden State also struggled for consistency last month, as they went 4-6 in February while dealing with a bunch of injuries.
The Warriors began the month with a 113-94 loss to Philadelphia, and then failed to back up a 101-97 victory in Phoenix as they lost 105-99 at the Los Angeles Lakers.
They answered with a 114-113 success at home to Memphis, only to then lose 126-113 to San Antonio and 121-110 to Boston.
Golden State avoided a third straight loss as they downed Denver at home, 128-117, but they again failed to follow up a victory as they fell 113-109 in New Orleans.
The Warriors rebounded to beat Memphis 133-112, only to then lose 129-101 when they hosted the Los Angeles Lakers over the weekend.
Verdict
Los Angeles snapped their three-game skid in emphatic fashion last night.
They can now back that up against a Golden State team in underwhelming form and without a bunch of important players, including Stephen Curry.
