Los Angeles head to Miami on a rough run of form, having now lost five of their last seven games to fall to 12-9.
The Lakers’ bad run started with a 119-118 home defeat to Orlando that brought an end to their six-game win streak.
They were then blown out at home by Denver 127-102, before heading to Phoenix for a 127-100 defeat to the Suns.
Los Angeles rebounded with a 119-101 victory in San Antonio, only to then suffer a 101-98 defeat when they returned home to face Oklahoma City.
The Lakers responded with a 105-104 win in Utah, but they failed to follow that up as they then lost 109-80 at Minnesota.
Miami Heat Form
Miami return home having lost back-to-back games on the road to fall below. 500 at 9-10.
The Heat returned home from a six-game road trip in the second half of November and downed Philadelphia 106-89, before beating Dallas 123-118 in overtime.
They failed to make it three-in-a-row as they then lost 106-103 to Milwaukee, but they did rebound quickly.
Miami got back to winning ways with a 98-94 victory over the Hornets in Charlotte, and then headed back home to take down Toronto, 121-111.
The Heat have not won since though, losing 119-116 to the Raptors on the road before heading to Boston for a 108-89 loss to the Celtics.
Verdict
Miami's recent overall form has been patchy, but they have won three of the last four at home.
The Lakers, on the other hand, have been a bad spread bet on the road this season, so we give the Heat the nod in this one.
