The Spurs wrapped up January with a 111-106 defeat in Charlotte, but responded to that loss in emphatic fashion with a perfect February that saw them win all 11 of their games.
They backed up home wins over Orlando, 112-103, and Oklahoma City, 116-106, with back-to-back wins against Dallas, beating the Mavericks 135-123 on the road and 138-125 at home.
San Antonio then went out on the road to down the Los Angeles Lakers 136-108 and Golden State 126-113, before returning home to beat Phoenix 121-94 and Sacramento 139-122.
The Spurs then went out on the road an took their streak to 11 games by beating Detroit 114-103, Toronto 110-107 and Brooklyn 126-110, only to see their tear end with a 114-89 loss in New York on Sunday.
Philadelphia 76ers Form
Philadelphia enter this matchup on the back of their sixth defeat in their previous 10 games.
The 76ers enjoyed a five-game run between late January and early February, which was brought to an end by a 119-115 loss at the Los Angeles Lakers.
They then failed to build on a 109-103 success in Phoenix as they went on a four-game skid that saw them lose 135-118 in Portland, 138-89 to New York, 117-107 to Atlanta and 126-111 in New Orleans.
Philadelphia avoided a fifth straight loss as they won 135-108 in Minnesota, and they backed that up with a 135-114 victory at Indiana.
The 76ers backed that up at home as they beat Miami, 124-117, but they failed to make it four-in-a-row as they fell 114-98 in Boston last weekend.
Verdict
The absence of Joel Embiid is a major blow for the 76ers in this meeting with Wembanyama and the Spurs.
