The Bulldogs, who lost to Notre Dame in last season’s playoffs, kicked off the new campaign with home wins over Marshall, 45-7, and Austin Peay, 28-6.
That set them up nicely for back-to-back meetings with ranked SEC opposition, and they took the first of those games, beating Tennessee 44-41 on the road.
Georgia failed to back that up at home to Alabama though, as they fell to a 24-21 defeat at the hands of the Crimson Tide.
The Bulldogs have issued a solid response though, following up the 35-14 win over Kentucky with a 20-10 success at Auburn.
