Buffalo head to Houston on this short week having rebounded from the shock loss in Miami with a weekend win that took their record to 7-3.
The Bills staged a last-gasp fightback on opening night to beat Baltimore 41-40, and they backed that up with a 30-10 victory at New Jersey.
They took the next two at home, beating Miami 31-21 and New Orleans 31-19, but cooled off before they bye week as they lost 23-20 to New England and 24-14 at Atlanta.
Buffalo snapped the skid after the bye week, following up a 40-9 success in Carolina with a 28-21 victory at home to Kansas City.
The Bills then bounced back from a 30-13 loss in Miami with a 44-32 victory at home to Tampa Bay last weekend.
Houston Texans Form
Houston go into this matchup on some improved form, having won three of their last four games to improve to 5-5.
The Texans made a rough start to the season as they lost their first three games, starting with a 14-9 defeat on the road at the Los Angeles Rams.
They then fell 20-19 to Tampa Bay in their home opener before losing 17-10 at Jacksonville, but they were able to get off the mark in Week 4 as they shut out Tennessee in a 26-0 win.
Houston made it back-to-back wins with a 44-10 victory at Baltimore, and then responded to a 27-29 loss at Seattle with a 26-15 upset of San Francisco.
The Texans failed to back that up as they lost 18-15 to Denver, but they have not lost since, following up a 36-29 win over Jacksonville with a 16-13 victory at Tennessee.
Verdict
Houston have enjoyed some improved form in recent games, but they still have plenty of issues.
Buffalo, on the other hand, issued a great response to the debacle against the Dolphins, so we are backing the Bills to cover despite playing on the road on a short week.
