Caesars New Jersey Review

Caesars is one of the best known names in the US gambling industry. Caesars sportsbook has operated in Nevada for decades, and in New Jersey Caesars is one of the primary Boardwalk casinos. Caesars also has casinos spread throughout the US and abroad.

Only two of Caesars’ New Jersey casinos have live sportsbooks, Bally’s and Harrah’s.

Caesars launched its online sportsbook in Nevada in 2017 and in New Jersey on September 6, 2018. The site is still called CaesarsCasino.com, but now includes a huge sports betting section. Ceasars used the addition of sports betting to give the whole app a complete revamp in partnership with gaming tech company Scientific Games.

In February 2019, Caesars announced a nationwide partnership with DraftKings, so don’t be surprised to see DraftKings branding if you visit Caesars properties. However, the NJ Caesars online sportsbook is completely separate.

Caesars just exudes luxury and classical elegance. The brand is as trustworthy as they come, and the company is investing heavily in making a success of the new sports betting opportunities. If you also visit Caesars land-based casinos, the Total Rewards benefits are excellent.

Caesars New Jersey Sport Bet Types

Moneyline

Moneyline wagers are the simplest form of sports bet so they are ideal for beginners. A moneyline bet is a bet on which team or player will win a game.

The odds are different for each team, so a bet on the favorite will win less money than a bet on the underdog.

Futures

Futures are bets on an event that takes place some time away. They are often bets on the outcome of a season, such as a bet on the league winners. Other Futures bets available are bets on which teams might make the Super Bowl, or which players will make the final of the Wimbledon tennis championships.

Spreads

Spread bets are based on teams or players being given a handicap. The spread is expressed in the form of points above or below the line where the line is the expected final score in a game.

One team is given points over the line and the other team has the same number of points below the line. A spread bet is won when a team covers the spread, that is it wins by the number of points above the line, or if betting on their opponents, when they lose by less than the number of points under the line.

Over-Under

Over-Under bets are predictions that the final score in a game will be either over or under a specified number. There are variations, but the simplest form is based on the final score of the game.

Parlays

Parlay bets combine three or more simpler bets. Payouts are larger than those for single games because every leg of a parlay has to be forecast correctly otherwise the whole bet is lost.

A simple parlay bet would be to bet on five matches taking place on a single day. A moneyline parlay bet needs the bettor to get the winning team correct in all five before the bet pays out.

Small wagers can produce very big wins, but the odds of winning are much smaller. Parlay bets can be a lot of fun, especially when the first few legs have gone your way and only one or two predictions remain before you know whether you’ve won.

Round Robins

Round Robin bets are a way of tying several parlay bets together. Bettors choose a list of normally between 3 and 8 teams with 2 to 6 tied together in a parlay. For example, an 8 line bet includes 8 teams and if you choose to tie 3 together, then you are betting on every combination of parlays between every three teams, a total of 56 separate parlay bets.

Caesars New Jersey Live Betting

In-Game Betting

Caesars offers very limited options for in-game betting.

In-game betting describes bets made after a game has started. It is also called live betting or in-play betting. In-game betting allows you to wager on which team will win even after a game has started, or you can bet on other events that might happen during the game.

In-game bets have become so popular the Caesars will inevitably improve them very soon.

Cashing Out

Caesars does not offer the option to cash out bets early.

Caesars New Jersey Mobile App

Caesars uses a browser-based app, so there is no need to download software. There are apps that can be downloaded for iOS and Android mobile devices.

Range of Sports at Caesars New Jersey

  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Football
  • Golf
  • Hockey
  • Mixed martial arts
  • Soccer

Caesars New Jersey VIP Scheme

The sportsbook integrates the Total Rewards system across all Caesars and Harrah’s casinos and apps.

Points are awarded through play and result in bonuses, special offers and discounts at Ceasars casinos. The scheme is great if you combine your live play at the casino with your online play on the app.

Otherwise the scheme doesn’t appear to be one of the most generous from the online perspective.

Caesars New Jersey Website & Login

The software across all three platforms is not the best in the market, but it does do the job. Navigation is easy with available sports listed on the left and upcoming events in the centre.

The one feature that does work really well is custom parlays. When you choose a particular bet, a betting slip appears on the right hand side of the screen. This tracks your current bets and potential winnings.

Adding two or more wagers results in an automatic customer parlay option with the parlay odds displayed.

You can choose to accept the parlay version of your bets with a single click.
