Colorado Rockies at Atlanta Braves Picks & Betting Tips

Colorado (68-78) has been eliminated from playoff contention, marking the third straight season that the Rockies will miss the playoffs.

Colorado has won three straight and are 5-5 in its last 10 games.  The Rockies are 23-51 on the road and 43-62 against RHPs.

Marquez is coming off his best start in a month, a 11-2 victory over Philadelphia (Sept. 10), as he allowed 6 hits and struck out 6 in 6 innings of work. However, the 26-year-old permitted 23 runs in his previous five outings.

Atlanta (76-68) sits atop of the NL East ahead of Philadelphia (3.5 games) and New York Mets (5.5).

The Braves have lost two straight and is 5-5 in their last 10 games. Atlanta is 37-36 at home and 53-52 vs. RHPs.

Anderson has been a little bit wild and has been uncharacteristically prone to give up the long ball since returning from the injured list. The 23-year-old is 2-0 over his last three starts while permitting 14 hits – 3 home runs – along with 6 runs while walking 8 and striking out 9 in 13.2 innings of work.

Head To Head

Raimel Tapia hit a game-tiebreaking RBI single in the top of the 10th inning to give Colorado a 3-2 victory over Atlanta on Wednesday. The Braves outhit the Rockies 10-5 but only managed three hits over the final four innings.

Colorado leads the season-series 4-2 despite being outscored 30-26. The Rockies has won both meetings at Truist Field this year.

Colorado Rockies Form

Colorado has won three straight and 5 of 6 with Wednesday’s victory.

The Rockies are 8-6 in September; however, they have been outscored 80-67.

Colorado is 5-1 on its 10-game road trip.

The Rockies’ offense has produced 4.8 runs over the last 14 games with a slash line of .234/.298/.423.

Colorado’s pitching staff has compiled a 8-6 record during this 14-game stretch with a 5.43 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and .265 OBA.

Atlanta Braves Form

Atlanta has lost two straight and 3 of 4 with Wednesday’s loss.

The Braves are 6-7 in September, outscoring their opponents 65 -55.

The Braves are 4-4 in their 9-game homestand.

Atlanta’s offense has compiled 5.0 runs over the last 13 contests with a slash line of  .242/.308/.471.

Atlanta’s pitching staff is 6-7 during this 13-game stretch with a 4.11 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and .214 OBA.

Colorado has been playing well lately as they have been swinging the bats well. However, the Rockies struggle on the road where they are hitting a league-worse .214. Plus, Marquez – who allowed four runs over 5 innings in a 7-6 home victory over the Braves on Sept. 4 -- has struggled on the road and during day games.
Atlanta enters the contest in not great form although they are swinging the bats well. The Braves hit the ball decently well at home and against right-handers. They also have had good success against Marquez. However, Anderson has struggled with his control lately and he got battered against Colorado the only time that he faced the Rockies. Anderson has pitched well at Truist Field
