Chelsea vs Liverpool Preview & Picks - Penalties To Decide FA Cup Final

Chelsea & Liverpool meet for the fourth time this season with the previous three all ending in draws in 90 minutes.

I'm tipping the FA Cup Final to also go to extra-time, with Liverpool to repeat their EFL Cup Final penalty shootout success.

Liverpool have an 82-65 advantage against Chelsea with 44 draws in 191 matches.

All three meetings this season have ended in draws with 1-1 and 2-2 stalemates in the Premier League. Most recently, Liverpool won on penalties after a goalless draw in the EFL Cup Final.

Chelsea ended a three-game run without a win with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Leeds in the Premier League on Wednesday.

The win all but wrapped up a top four finish for the Blues and with it Champions League football next season. 

Thomas Tuchel's side had drawn two of their previous three matches against Manchester United (1-1) and Wolves (2-2). They also lost 1-0 to Everton in between.

Mateo Kovacic is set to miss the final after suffering injury against Leeds.

Fellow midfielder N’Golo Kante is also doubtful, while full-back Ben Chilwell and winger Callum Hudson-Odoi are still out.

Liverpool's quadruple bid is still alive after coming from behind to beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the Premier League on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp's Premier League title-chasing Reds had suffered a blow at the weekend when held to a 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham.

Liverpool are now unbeaten in their last 15 matches in all competitions, winning 12 of them.  

Midfielder Fabinho will miss the final, but otherwise Liverpool are at full strength.

Liverpool and Chelsea played out a 0-0 draw at Wembley in the EFL Cup Final with the Reds eventually lifting the trophy on penalties.

I'm backing a fourth straight draw between the two sides this season and for this one to go the distance again. Liverpool to win on penalties is value.
