Katie Taylor Form

She stepped up to light-welterweight after that and beat Christina Linardatou to win the WBO championship, before returning to lightweight to make a string of successful defences of her undisputed crown.

Taylor won a rematch with Persoon on points, before recording unanimous decision wins over Miriam Gutierrez, Natasha Jonas, Jennifer Han and Firuza Sharipova.

That set up an historic showdown with Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden in April 2022, and the 39-year-old Irish ace was able to retain via split decision.

She then beat Karen Carabajal on points, before finally seeing her reign end with a majority decision defeat to Chantelle Cameron in May 2023.
