BC return from their first bye week of the season looking to snap a two-game losing sequence that dropped them to 3-5.
The Lions enjoyed a winning start to the season as they beat Edmonton 31-14 at home, but they were unable to build on that opening-day success.
They lost back-to-back meetings with Winnipeg, 34-20 on the road and 27-14 at home, and then fell to a 37-18 defeat in Saskatchewan.
BC snapped that skid with a 21-20 victory in Montreal, and then downed the Elks 32-14 in Edmonton to get back to .500.
The Lions failed to maintain that momentum though, as they went into the bye week on the back of home defeats to Saskatchewan, 33-27, and Hamilton, 37-33.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats Form
Hamilton finally return home after a three-week run of road games that saw them extend their win streak to six games.
The Tiger-Cats opened up the campaign with back-to-back defeats, losing 38-26 in Calgary and 28-23 at home to Saskatchewan.
That sent them into the bye week at 0-2, but they put their weekend off to good use and have been on a tear ever since.
Hamilton got off the mark with a 35-17 win over Montreal, and they backed that up by winning 51-38 in Toronto before downing Ottawa in back-to-back meetings, 23-20 at home and 30-15 on the road.
The Tiger-Cats then took their streak to six games by winning 37-33 at BC and 28-24 in Edmonton.
Verdict
There is no arguing that Hamilton are the hotter hand heading into Thursday’s matchup.
The Tiger-Cats won in British Columbia a couple of weeks ago, and we expect them to make the most of home field advantage in the rematch.
