BC come into this game on the back of a loss, but having made a strong start to the season with five wins from their first seven games.
The Lions kicked off the campaign with a 35-27 defeat in Toronto, but they responded with a run of five consecutive victories.
They beat Calgary 26-17 at home, before winning 26-24 in Winnipeg and 24-21 at home to Edmonton.
BC then went back out on the road to down Hamilton 44-28, and took their win streak to five games when they downed Saskatchewan 35-20 at home.
The Lions failed to make it six-in-a-row though, as they suffered a 25-24 defeat in Calgary before their first bye week of the season.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers Form
Winnipeg enter this matchup in desperate need of a win, having lost six of their first eight games of the season.
The Blue Bombers have been a fixture of the Grey Cup in recent years, but they are already in serious danger of missing out on the playoffs.
They opened with a 27-12 defeat to Montreal in a rematch from last year’s final, and then lost 23-19 to Ottawa, 26-24 to the BC Lions and 22-19 in overtime in Calgary.
Winnipeg finally got off the mark with a 25-16 win over Ottawa in Week 5, and backed that up with a 41-37 success against Calgary a week later.
However, the Blue Bombers have failed to keep that run going, heading out on the road for a 19-9 loss to Saskatchewan and a 16-14 overtime defeat in Toronto.
Verdict
BC lost last time out, but they have been the better team through eight weeks and they do boast a win in Winnipeg already this season.
That makes the Lions an appealing betting favorite on the road.
