Edmonton come into this game having won three of their last four games to improve to 3-10.
The Elks opened with a 17-13 defeat to Friday’s opponents, Saskatchewan, and that proved to be the start of a nine-game losing skid for them.
It took until mid-August for them to finally get off the mark, courtesy of a 24-10 victory over Hamilton.
Edmonton then backed that up with a 30-20 victory at home to Ottawa, before suffering a 35-31 defeat in Calgary.
The Elks avenged that loss a week later however, running out 25-23 winners when they hosted the Stampeders last weekend.
Saskatchewan Roughriders Form
Saskatchewan come into this game on the back of a loss, but at 6-6 they are still in the playoff hunt.
The Roughriders opened the season with three wins in their first four games, but saw their form drop off in July.
They lost three consecutive games to drop to 3-4, but steadied the ship after that as they sandwiched a 41-12 loss in Montreal with a 26-24 win against Ottawa and 34-29 victory over BC.
Saskatchewan then pulled off their biggest win of the season as they returned from their bye week with a 32-30 overtime upset of Winnipeg on the road.
However, lightning did not strike twice for the Roughriders, as they were blown out 51-6 in Winnipeg last weekend.
Verdict
Saskatchewan have beaten Edmonton twice already this season, and they can capitalize on the Elks’ travel sickness to make it a hat-trick.
