Ottawa head to Toronto on the back of a much-needed victory that ended a four-game skid and improved their record to 2-6.
The Redblacks opened the season with back-to-back defeats, losing 31-26 in Saskatchewan and 39-18 at home to Montreal.
They rallied to get their first win on the board, beating Calgary 20-12 on the road, but they failed to follow that up over the next several weeks.
Ottawa lost 29-16 at home to Toronto, and then went out on the road to lose 39-33 in Edmonton and 23-20 at Hamilton.
The Redblacks then lost 30-15 at home to Hamilton as their skid reached four games, but they managed to snap that last week as they downed Calgary, 31-11.
Toronto Argonauts Form
Toronto have struggled badly in the first few months of their Grey Cup defence, losing six of their first eight games.
The Argonauts opened the season with a 28-10 loss at Montreal, and then fell to 3-0 as they lost back-to-back home games, 29-19 to Calgary and 39-32 to Saskatchewan.
They finally registered their first win as they beat Ottawa 29-16 on the road, but they failed to back that up.
Toronto went into the bye week on the back of a 51-38 home defeat to Hamilton, and then returned to action with a 26-25 loss in Montreal.
The Argonauts avoided a third straight loss as they beat Winnipeg 31-17, only to lose at the Blue Bombers a week later, 40-31.
Verdict
Toronto have struggled so far this season, but they have pretty much owned Ottawa in recent years.
